VectaMount™ AQ Mounting Medium is a hardsetting mounting medium developed for use with enzymatic substrates, such as AEC, ImmPACT™ AEC, and ImmPACT™ AMEC Red, whose reaction products are soluble in alcohol or other organic solvents. In applications where aqueous mounting is preferred, VectaMount™ AQ is suitable for use with other substrates such as DAB, Vector SG, BCIP/NBT, Vector Red, ImmPACT™ Vector Red, Vector Blue, ImmPACT™ DAB, ImmPACT™ DAB EqV, and ImmPACT™ SG. VectaMount™ AQ is simple to use, requires no mixing, and preserves the color and clarity of the substrates. Stained sections mounted with VectaMount™ AQ can be stored in a slide box at room temperature for at least 2 years without fading.

Micromount is a rapid-drying, xylene-based mounting medium. An antioxidant is added to inhibit stain fading and prevent the formation of annual rings. Micromount sets up quickly, allowing slide preparations to be handled immediately after mounting. Micromount is soluble in xylene, toluene, and most xylene substitutes.

VectaMount Express is a non-aqueous clearing and mounting medium enabling the rapid mounting of cell and tissue specimens following immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining. VECTASHIELD Antifade Mounting Medium prevents rapid photobleaching of fluorescent proteins and dyes. It remains a semi-liquid on the slide. If desired, coverslips can be sealed around the perimeter with nail polish or a plastic sealant. Mounted slides should be stored in the dark at 4 degrees C. VECTASHIELD Mounting Medium is compatible with a wide array of fluorochromes, enzymatic substrates, and fluorescent proteins. The refractive index is 1.45. DAPI is a counterstain that binds to nuclei and causes them to fluoresce with a blue color. This is useful for Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) assays and other techniques where a general orientation to the location of nuclei and cells is helpful.

VECTASHIELDHardSet™ Mounting Medium prevents rapid photobleaching of fluorescent proteins and dyes. After approximately 15 minutes at room temperature, the mounting medium will harden, the coverslip will become immobilized, and optimal antifade ability and refractive index of 1.46 will be achieved. Mounted slides should be stored at 4 degrees C, protected from light. VECTASHIELD HardSet Mounting Medium is compatible with a wide array of fluorochromes, enzymatic substrates, and fluorescent proteins. The refractive index is 1.45. VECTASHIELD Vibrance Antifade Mounting Medium offers superior protection against photobleaching during fluorescence-based imaging of cells and tissue sections. It is supplied as an aqueous, ready-to-use formulation, no sealing is required, and sections may be viewed after only one hour. There is minimal bubble formation, retraction or background development over extended room temperature slide storage. It works well with dyes and other fluors across the spectrum, including those with far-red fluorescence. The refractive index after curing is 1.47. 12-month expiration.
